AOBA GROUP

Aoba-Japan International School (A-JIS) was founded in 1976 in Aobadai, Meguro-ku, as a co-educational, non-religious international school. Currently, about 450 students from more than 40 countries and regions are studying together on Aoba’s three campuses, Aobadai, Meguro-ku (ages 1.5-6｜K2-K5), Hikarigaoka, Nerima-ku (ages 3-15｜K3-K5, G1-G9), and Honkomagome, Bunkyo-ku (ages 15-18｜G10-G12). In addition to Japanese cultural education, in 2016, A-JIS received full accreditation as an International Baccalaureate (IB) PYP (preschool/elementary school), MYP (middle school), and DP (high school), becoming the fifth integrated school in Japan to become a member of the IB World Schools. Our graduates have gone on to attend universities around the world, including many in Japan.

Summerhill International School has been a pioneer in English-language global education for children aged 1 to 6.
